Ventive Limited is a pioneer in the design of naturally intelligent ventilation systems to deliver fresh air at minimal energy cost. Tom Lipinski founded the company with the vision that ventilation can play a key role in the sustainable architecture of the future.
Tom is an experienced entrepreneur with expertise in retrofit, architecture and design, his work has been recognized with more than 20 sustainability, retrofit and innovation awards, including Best Innovation in Energy Management; Best Sustainable Innovation Award (CIOB); Best Retrofit Innovation; Best Retrofit Project; Best Sustainable Building (Sustainable City Awards); Best Carbon Reduction Project (EDIE) and the 2011 Inventor of the Year (Autodesk). Tom has been actively involved in making buildings more efficient for over 20 years with his own home retrofit featured in The Times, The Evening Standard and serialised in The Guardian in 2009. His work on Retrofit for the Future projects was also featured in “Residential Retrofit: Twenty Case Studies” by Marion Baeli, RIBA Books in 2013. Over the years his focus has shifted from Retrofit and Building Design to the development of fit-for-purpose Energy Efficiency Supply Chain.
